Here's a little known fact about the Windows Welcome Screen: If you need to log in to Windows with an account that is not displayed on the Welcome Screen (e.g. the Administrator account), there is a way to switch out of the Welcome Screen while at the Welcome Screen. Simply log out of all accounts on the computer and when you're sitting at the Welcome Screen, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete,Delete (hold down Ctrl+Alt and press Delete twice in quick succession). This should bring up the regular Log On window that allows you to enter a username and password.
I know this works on Windows XP, but I have never tried it on Windows Vista. Again, all accounts must be logged out for this to work.
